While I don’t find it to be a pleasing noise, the LS is by far the greatest engine ever built. I really wish I had the money to swap the 4Runner right now. If it had a 5.3 or 6.0, I’d sell the FiST tomorrow. Every non-diesel truck/SUV deserves an LS.
But still, FUCK THE DURAMAX. I would rather be stuck with the 5.7 diesel for the rest of my life.

Get a motor out of an old work van or truck. The LQ4 is the iron block version of the 6.0 LS motor.
